Ross Murphy
Head of Private Clients
After graduating from Manchester University with a degree in Economics, Ross joined Capricorn Financial Mortgages in 2009 as a Mortgage Adviser. Over more than 15 years with the business, he has established himself as one of Capricorn’s most experienced and successful advisers.
Throughout his career at Capricorn Financial Mortgages since joining in 2009, Ross has been responsible for arranging more than £2.5 billion of mortgage finance, including an impressive £270 million in 2022 alone. He has extensive experience advising on complex property finance transactions and is widely recognised for his expertise within the industry.
In April 2022, Ross was promoted to Head of the Private Clients division at Capricorn Financial Mortgages. The division specialises in arranging complex and high-value mortgage transactions for High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients, working closely with private banks and family offices where appropriate.
When he is not arranging finance for multi-million-pound property transactions, Ross enjoys exploring new destinations with his wife Adriana and their two young sons.

Alex obtained his Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) in 2003 and has enjoyed helping hundreds of clients in that time. Alex joined the team at Capricorn Financial Mortgages in May 2014 and is a key adviser within Capricorn’s Large Loan team where he is able to use his industry experience to help clients with their complex lending requirements. Outside of work Alex enjoys spending time with his young family and lives in green surrounds of South East London.

Having graduated from Exeter University in 2011, Luke pursued a career as an independent financial adviser in his home town of Geneva, Switzerland. With a keen desire to establish himself in the fast moving financial hub that is London, he joined Capricorn Financial Mortgages in February of 2013. Having grown up in Geneva and attended the International School of Geneva, Luke’s linguistic ability helps deal with our foreign client base, particularly the large French population resident in London.
Luke is a keen rugby player and has represented Switzerland internationally and Exeter University on numerous occasions. His drive and competitive spirit has helped him become one of the most prominent advisers in the area in a short space of time.

Tony has worked within the residential property industry for a number of years. Before joining Capricorn Financial Mortgages as a Mortgage Adviser, he gained a wealth of experience working within the residential sales market, running a branch of a highly successful London-based estate agency.
As well as obtaining industry qualifications in the mortgage market and residential sales market, Tony also holds a degree in Modern History. His extensive property experience and client-focused approach enable him to provide clear guidance and tailored mortgage solutions to help clients achieve their property goals.
In his spare time, Tony enjoys playing squash and is a keen sports fan, following football, boxing and Formula 1.
